Six Sigma Fulfillment Processes

Fulfillment America has implemented Six Sigma practices to standardize its operational processes and improve the quality of its process outputs.

A key component of Six Sigma is its culture of continual improvement adopted throughout the company.  Fulfillment America has documented its operational flow for process optimization and improvement.

Fulfillment America employs business intelligence software to analyze key performance criteria and present this data in user friendly standard and ad hoc reports.  A dashboard of key performance indicators (KPIs) is assembled to show critical metrics such as on-time performance and inventory accuracy with expected targets and Fulfillment America performance to those targets.

An organization placing quality at the forefront of its operations must have a strong focus on systems quality as systems have quickly become the backbone of most organizations.  The following is a sampling of the systems quality initiatives that are implemented by Fulfillment America:

-     Business Continuity Plans for the event of an unexpected disaster or unavoidable event affecting business operations.

-     Disaster recovery to quickly restore data in the event of partial or full system failure.

-     Plans to maintain an efficient infrastructure at a minimum level of what is required for fulfillment operations.

-     Clearly documented information security and data privacy policies that are periodically reviewed and updated as needed.

-     Daily backups of all key data required to operate the business.

-     Guidelines for system maintenance practices and schedules, to be shared among affected customers with advance warning as needed.
